When you are sewing heavier weight fabrics or multiple layers of fabric you will need a stronger needle. A 100 or 110 needle will have less chance of breaking. Click here for a quick video on changing the needle.

Getting a few specialist tools will making your bag sewing experience easier - especially a zipper foot. But you can make bags with just basic tools - including inserting zips.
